Vice President, Public Sector Program Office of the CEO Hewlett-Packard Company
Suparno Banerjee, as a member of the Office of the CEO, is responsible for accelerating growth in HP’s Public Sector business. Working closely with public sector customers, HP’s business groups and country operations, he is the steward of HP’s global Public Sector capabilities. Banerjee is responsible for developing a cohesive Public Sector strategy, identifying new growth opportunities, and executing these growth plans across the organization. His mission is to connect customers and partners, business unit and portfolio teams to help HP deliver superior outcomes to its public sector customers.
Prior to assuming this role, Banerjee was Vice President for Strategy for HP’s Enterprise Group in Asia Pacific & Japan region and had responsibility for business planning and operational readiness across HP’s Enterprise Group business. In this role, he also developed strategies for HP’s priority solutions portfolio in Cloud Computing, Big Data and Security. Banerjee continues to lead HP’s efforts in Smart Cities through thought leadership, a pan-HP solutions portfolio, and active engagement with partners. He has led Smart City projects in China, US and EMEA.
Earlier, Banerjee was vice president and leader of HP Enterprise Services’ Global Government Industry group. This organization was responsible for driving growth for HP’s public sector business globally, creating demand in key growth areas, accelerating client innovation, and managing the portfolio of HP’s government solutions.
Banerjee has more than 25 years of experience in information technology and business consulting in the government and commercial sectors and has worked extensively on technology-enabled innovation and business transformation.
Banerjee is a frequent presenter to customers and industry analysts. He is the founding editor of HP’s Government Journal on innovation and thought leadership.
Prior to HP, Banerjee was a director with Deloitte Consulting and helped start-up Deloitte’s Federal Government consulting practice in Washington, DC, In prior roles in his career, Banerjee was an industry leader for IBM Global Services in Europe and led KPMG’s emerging markets technology consulting organization.
Banerjee holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management.
